Chongup City
| Jeongeup city is located in South Korea along Jeollabukdo Road. It takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes by Korea Train Express 'KTX' from Seoul. Jeongeup is known as a modern city and an agricultural city. Due to having beautiful cherry blossoms and red leaves in national park, this city is popular tourist attraction. In the city, there is also a Buddhism temple, called Naejang Temple. An average of 700,000 visitors pay homage at the shrine all around the year. Jeongeup city is trying to maintain and develop the agricultural industry and the study of ancient Korean thought and culture.
Historically, this place is recognized as a victorious place and a resistance movement place among farmers in 1894, which afterward became the demonstration against Japanese. |
