In October 1990, San Bruno City became a sister of Narita city because in 1982 their respective Rotary clubs became sisters.
Located in California, it takes twenty minutes to drive to San Francisco along the freeway. It is famous for having San Francisco Airport. The climate is cool in summer and warm in winter and it has an average of 400 mm. of rain annually. Being a bed town, most residents work in San Francisco.
Both Narita city and San Bruno City have airports facing out over the Pacific ocean tying each other in a bond of eternal friendship.
