Worshippers who practiced Goma (Spiritual activity) can receive 'Bo-iri' at Korin-kaku hall. Bo-iri is a traditional service. Some dishes cooked offering to God serve worshippers in order to bring health and happiness for them. It is served with Japanese rice-wine (Sake), but oddly without rice so as not to spoil worshippers appetites who traditionally eat lunch in restaurants in temple town (Monzen-machi). The most unusual food served at Bo-iri is Ooura-gobo (burdock). This burdock root is huge. It is 20 cm in diameter. There are no restaurants serving this sized burdock root except the temple. This giant burdock root is cultivated by only 10 farmers in the Ooura district of Yoka-ichiba city and is designated a natural monuments of the city.
