The Sobataka shrine festival (Tokko district), located on a hill from which Narita Airport can be seen, is held on April 3. A procession of young people,holding rows of votive lanterns hanging from a pole parade from Enshoji temple (Tokko district) towards the Sobataka shrine, where the first dance of Sanbaso is performed in front of local people. They then return to the Enshoji temple to perform the second dance of Sanbaso.
This dance is designated an important intangible property of folk culture by Chiba prefecture and is performed as traditional for a rice growing culture in the style of a beautiful Noh play.
